Do you find you can't play the online
video?
In order to access our online video streaming service at the best
possible quality we recommend that you use:
- A PC running a recent version of Windows (XP Home or
Professional, 2000, NT). You can check that your system is up to
date
here.
- Windows Media Player 9 (get a free copy
here from the Microsoft site).
- Note: Although you can use this service with any type of
internet access, faster internet access gives better quality video
playback, as the video automatically adjusts to the speed of your
internet service provider. You can
check the speed of your internet access at the
ADSL Guide Site (at the
site, click on the "Speed Test" link on the top right of the
page). Maximum quality video speed is 400Mbps.
If you are using Windows 98, we recommend that you check your
version of Windows Media Player, and if Version 7.1 is not installed,
upgrade your system (any release of Version 6 [eg Versions 6.0, 6.1,
6.4] will give glitches and pauses during video playback). Download
Version 7.1
here.

suggested tips to improve video performance.
If you are having problems with the video playback, and your system
conforms to the description above, you could try the following:
- Close down all applications other than Internet Explorer and try
running the video.
- If your monitor resolution (see above) is set to millions of
colours try setting it to thousands of colours, as this should speed
up the display on your PC.
- If you are using any system monitoring software, such as Norton
Disc Doctor's system monitor, try disabling it.
